In Their Own Words: What Our Clients Say About…
Polarys is an excellent product, as are the fundamental principals of the training. It’s important for schools to have their own narrative and use data appropriately to tell their own story. This is a great perspective for any district working to take control over their data.
Marty Godwin, Assistant Superintendent
Anson County , NC
Polarys has definitely influenced our conversations and has helped us focus our school improvement research to find programs that are working for peer schools.
The volume of data can be overwhelming, but now I feel more in control of how to sift through it to find what’s relevant to our goals.
Angela Cobb, Vice Principal
Camden Intermediate School, Camden County, NC
Polarys has been invaluable in my work with schools regarding their school improvement work and responsibilities.
This tool is in a sense one stop shopping for much of the necessary data needed for writing plans designed to yield adequate yearly performance for the academic and social improvement of social performance.
It provides the ability to do intra and inter school analysis of student performance using multiple demographic points for multiple measures of student performance. The reports are concise and easily understood by both educators and parents.
Richard Boltax, School Effectiveness Coordinator
Vermont Agency of Education
Often schools make a lot of excuses when it comes to data. The ReContext training helped us stop explaining away the results and start talking about our goals for our schools. That’s the benefit we’ve seen from the Polarys perspective.
Edwina Ashworth, Principal
Eastern Randolph High School, Randolph County, NC
I came to the ReContext training because I wanted to learn the data team protocol. I didn’t realize I’d also learn how to simplify our improvement process, too.
We’re now focusing on one goal, which has really helped my team.
Shawn Gonyaw, Principal
Barnet Elementary School, Barnet, VT
I feel fortunate to have attended ReContext Solutions’ “Data Bootcamp.” This experience helped us to consider a new perspective on data and accountability. Namely, data is not something that is “given” to a school.
Rather, data and analysis ought to be the result of educators asking important questions about their students, teaching, and learning, and then having the ability to measure and communicate those findings in meaningful ways that drive school improvement and help all stakeholders to better “see” what growth and areas of need exist.
I appreciated the blend of intensive instruction with time to work as school-based teams to process all that we learned, as well as to relate the information to our specific environments. The staff from ReContext were very professional in their approach and knowledgeable about the content. Their sessions were certainly a worthwhile and engaging experience that I would recommend to others.
